Discover the meditative art of wheel throwing while creating your own handmade ceramic matcha set. This session invites you to experience the calming rhythm of pottery wheel and to a beginner-friendly environment through the basic throwing techniques and get you started with ceramics on the wheel.

WORKSHOP PROGRAMME

DAY 1 Learning throwing essentials and shaping the pieces. You will leave with at least a ceramic matcha set including a matcha bowl, two cups, and one whisk holder. Over the following weeks, I will finish the pieces with the glaze colour that you choose. (Or you can purchase the extra glazing session below.)

DAY 2 We'll meet the next day of the date you choose to learn how to trim the pieces made the day before, improve the shape, add foot rings and small details like handles etc. This occasion will be arranged automatically after you choose the first session date. 

• Each occasion lasts two hours and is held in English.
• All the pieces will be food-safe and dishwasher safe (if it is not decorative use)
• Materials and firings are included
• The pieces will be done within a few weeks.
